Le père de Gribaldi est le Trakehner Kostolany, lui-même en Grand Prix. Kostolany a remporté le Siegerhengst en 1995, un évènement unique. Kostolany a comme Gribaldi plusieurs fils approuvés à la monte dont : Bertone, Showmaster, Silvermoon, Tolstoï, Sans Souci et Polansky. La mère de Gribaldi est devenue en 1995 une jument Elite.
Performances
Gribaldi est sacré Meilleur Etalon Dressage 2006 et 2007.

Production
Ses descendants, les plus âgés, ont maintenant 12 ans et plusieurs sortent au niveau Grand Prix.
Les produits de Gribaldi sont réputés aux Pays-Bas pour leurs facilités pour le piaffer et le passage.
Painted Black, un fils étalon de Gribaldi est classé 8ème du “World Ranking List Dressage Horses”.
Les succès de Gribaldi dans l’élevage sont très nombreux. Beaucoup de juments sont fort bien classées lors des concours modèles et allures. Ceci est également le cas pour ses filles qui participent aux tests IPOB (épreuves pour juments sous la selle) à Deurne et Drachten. Beaucoup de juments passent les tests avec des très bonnes notes.
Bon nombre de ses produits ont participé au PAVO CUP pour jeunes chevaux de dressage (4 et 5 ans), et ont été sélectionnés pour les demi-finales ainsi que pour les finales.

Conseils de croisement
Ce très bel étalon a été déjà très utilisé en Hollande et ses produits ont confirmé l’estime dans laquelle il était tenu. Il transmet sa présence, son équilibre, des allures brillantes. On retrouve un bon nombre de ses produits au niveau Grand-Prix International dont Painted-Black ou Totilas.
